Well I stumbled for the first time on Friday and Saturday. I didn’t make my quota of words on those days, but I still wrote! I don’t know where my motivation went. It took a break I guess.
Not to worry, it came back full force on Sunday. I traditionally do well on Sundays and I was able to put in a decent 2200 words and I’m only a few words behind today. If all things remain equal, I should be caught up by tonight and then some!
The story is going fine, I’m starting to worry that it won’t be enough of a story to hold a full 100K. I’ll have to brainstorm a bit and beef up the plot. This should not be too hard. Already I’ve identified a spot where I can add 5000 words easily. yWriter is making it very easy to go back and add those words into my second chapter without having to do any serious editing.
Once again, if it weren’t for my wife, I’d be in serious trouble, but she’s a constant source of strength and inspiration. I also have some very good friends and blog readers who watch me like a hawk. I feel like it’s impossible to fail. I am very lucky.
Goals this week: To maintain my word count daily while also working on other projects (number one on the list, resume revision on Revenant and a close second is another installment of The Expensive Universal Instrument)
Onward to today’s quota!
Hugs on the flub, but good job getting the words on Sunday. I’m behind on reading, but I look forward to seeing your progress! Also, good luck figuring out how to get it to 100k.
Well if I stick to my regular self imposed quota, I’ll make 50K by the 30th.
While I the goal is 100K by August’s end, the spirit is also two challenges back to back, so getting that first 50K is crucial to me.
Thanks for reading and for the encouragement! Stay tuned for more posts.
